Nehemiah - Chapter 1
Chapter 1: Ninety years had passed since the first group of Israelites had returned to the Promise Land. The temple had been rebuilt, but the city walls that protected them were still in ruin. Nehemiah was a Jewish man who held a very responsible position in the Persian Government as cup bearer to the King. When he found out about the walls he cried out to God with all his heart.
