Nehemiah - Chapter 8
Nehemiah - Chapter 8: On the first day of the seventh month, all the people gathered together before the Water Gate. Ezra the Priest read from the Book of the Law of Moses. The people wept because they realized the extent of their sins. Nehemiah told them that this day was sacred and not to grieve for the Joy of the LORD was their strength. For seven days they worshiped and rejoiced in their new beginning. Not since the days of Joshua had the Feast of Tabernacles been celebrated like this.
