Nehemiah – Chapter 9: On the 24th day of the seventh month all the Israelites gathered together. They were fasting, wearing sackcloth and putting ashes on their heads. They confessed how incredibly prideful their forefathers had been. They were humbling themselves with broken hearts and asking the Lord to remember His Promise of Love for them.
