Nehemiah - Chapter 13
Nehemiah – Chapter 13: Nehemiah returned to Babylon after being gone for twelve years. When he was able to return to Jerusalem things were not as he had left them. Eliashib the Priest had caused the nation to go astray. Nehemiah rebuked them and called curses down on them. He beat them and pulled out their hair. He reprimanded the people for going back to the sinful ways of their forefathers. Nehemiah pleads to God to remember that he had tried with all his heart to accomplish the work that was set before him.
(When God calls you into service, that doesn’t mean He is calling you into success. Be obedient, take action, and leave the rest to Him.)
“Remember me with favor, O my God.” ~ Nehemiah 13:31
